25th November 2010, Thursday. Today is Thanksgiving Day. So all of us here were off for 2 days, if including weekend, it’s a straight 4 days off. XD Anyway, I got nothing to do except relaxing at home, tidy up my stuff, and watched some dramas. Actually I already bought most of the stuff before that, so the sales don’t really attract me a lot. In fact, I just want to go there to see and ‘feel’ what is so call “Black Friday”. 😛

十一月二十五日，星期四。其實今天是感恩節，所以這裡的人都會有兩天的假期，如果加上週末就是四天連續放假。:P 不過，雖然是假期我也沒什麼地方去。哈哈，只是在家裡休息，整理屋子、電腦東西，還有看戲等等。其實，在今天晚上所謂的‘黑五’促銷雖然來勢洶洶，但是也沒什麼吸引我，因為我都已經在之前買了大多數的東西了。不過，基於難得，我也想到各促銷地方去看看和感受一下何謂“黑色星期五”，嘻嘻。所以，在六點左右，我就搭了同事的順風車到了Woodburn那裡去看看，結果到那裡時已經是人山人海了，應該說是車才對，因為很多車都還在外面塞著。畢竟真正的開放時間是晚上十點，但是七點就這麼塞車了，真的汗。。。而且，更恐怖的就是Coach的名牌店，老早就看到很多人（大多數女人）在那裡排隊，而且是繞著幾圈排著隊的那種哦，簡直就是讓我見識到何謂女人的名牌！

Woodburn, is a city in Oregon. And, this Woodburn Company Stores in Woodburn is actually an outlet mall with many name-brand clothing companies like Adidas, Nike, Gap, and Banana Republic.

Woodburn, 是俄勒崗州的一個小城市，而這Woodburn Company Stores就是在Woodburn很出名的名牌聖地。這裡有很多很出名的名牌商店，至少有一半以上都是我所不知道的“名牌”。（只因我不常購物，也不看名牌，所以不知道吧。:P）

“Black Friday”, this is the term that I’d learn over here recently. Do you know what it actually means? 😛 Initially I thought it was an ‘unfortune day’ for Americans, but it doesn’t really mean that. In fact, it seems to be a good day for them. Here are some FAQs that I’d copied from some sites, and of course a wiki:

Ok, do you see the above envelope? Here’s the story how I got it and how it related to this ‘poor’ story.

看到上面的圖片嗎？那是由聯合國兒童基金會所推動的一項捐款運動。主要就是要求人們用他們所剩餘的零錢來資助一些貧苦的兒童。所以就叫做“零錢布施”。這個的信封其實是我在前往三藩市的飛機上所拿到的。那時，我本來也想放一些的零錢進去，但是後來才發現我身上根本沒有零錢。有的就是那些五十和一百的美元鈔票。其實，我還有兩個港幣，就只有25分，信封上註明的是美元，沒有硬幣就算了，不可能用港幣捐那麼少啊，因此，我就打消了念頭，而那個信封就這樣被我收了起來。。。

對於我來說，整個飛行的過程還真的出乎意料地辛苦。很佩服那些常常搭長途飛機的人，說真的，實在有夠“顯”！因為我在整個飛行的時間裡面，真正好好入睡的時間沒有多少，尤其是從檳城飛往香港的三個小時。睡又不能入睡，想動一動身體都有點難，因為位置實在有點小。除了看著前面那沒得選擇的過時影片以外，就沒什麼好做了。那時真的覺得時間過得好慢！～五個小時。。。

Unexpectedly, the whole flight from Penang -> Hong Kong -> San Francisco -> Portland was a torturing process for me indeed. I was unable to sleep well and hard to move my body around due to the limited space available on my seat. Especially the flight from Penang to Hong Kong, 3 hours of flight got nothing to do except watching the outdated console infront of me, which having no choice of movies or games or music…… I was like feeling why the hours going so slow… =.= 5 hours to go…
