The 2nd Day of Hillsboro

It was a busy day for me as I need to rush here and there to settle my stuff. First, it was regarding my house. Initially I asked the housing agent to subscribe the Internet service for me so that when I reached there I can right away online to contact my family & friends. But it end up I did not get it in my house, and my colleague who did not request it got it ready in his house. I guessed they got mixed up both of us. Some more, I did not bring any telephone over here, and actually the house phone service was already there, just that without telephone, i can’t make any call. =.= My colleague was so smart that he brought his own cordless phone. So, i went to his house to call up the agent, clarified everything, and also called up the airport people, to make sure that my baggage were there before I go to collect it.

In fact, early in the morning, we need to go to Beaverton to pick up our car first. So, another colleague over here who already got a car, fetched us to the agent there to pick up our car. I got a great car anyway. 😛 (Photos later) Then, that colleague actually brought us to some ‘supermarket’ here to shop for some necessities. The most interesting part here is that they also got this so called “1 dollar supermarket”. Really everything 1 dollar!

Then, we went for a great buffet lunch. Should be brunch indeed. 😛
Here comes the ‘brunch’ venue: Izzy’s Pizza Bar / Classic Buffet.

It was a great experience riding train from Hillsboro, all the way to the Portland Airport by myself. Enjoying the scenery along the way while missing my homeland. Anyway, I found that there is one thing very weird. Although we bought ticket for the train, in fact there’s no conductors on the train! Even after you reached your destination, no people will even bother to check / hole punched your ticket. But still, they all queue up to buy the ticket before riding the train! Cool huh?

One day, CooKies received an assignment to make the best peanut butter in the world. Hence, he decided to runaway to this place: Hillsboro, OREGON in US, for an estimated of 365days to complete his assignment. There are a lot of tough nuts over there, but he believes that: "Tough nuts always make the best peanut butter!" :)
