Mount St. Helens
20th August, Saturday. Right after the Pre-Wedding shooting, I joined them for a trip to the Mount St. Helens. Mount St. Helens is an active stratovolcano located in Washington, which is about 3hours away from Hillsboro.
We went to the Johnston Ridge Observatory at the top there to get a close view of Mount St. Helens. Right there you can also watch a movie clip about the Eruption of Mount St. Helens 30 years ago. Visiting a stratovolcano in this summer time wasn’t ‘cool’ at all. =.= First time in the year the temperature hit 100F! Been really long time didn’t experience this kind of ‘hotness’ ever since I left Penang. 😛
八月二十日，星期六。幫同事拍完了婚紗照後，我們就跟其他人一起衝上了華盛頓州著名的活火山：聖海倫斯火山。這座火山在三十年前才剛爆發，如今可以從山上的約翰斯頓山脊近距離觀看火山。在那兒還可以觀賞一些有關火山的短片。不過在這夏天上火山還真的有夠“火”。在這裡經歷了超過一百華氏的溫度，真的少有哦，算是離開檳城後的第一次吧，哈哈。:P
After a walk around the ridge, we went to the ColdWater Lake on our way back. The lake is so peaceful. We had our small picnic over there. Then, they planned to go to the famous sushi restaurant in Portland for dinner, which took us around 40mins for the queue.
在山上走了一圈後，我們就順便去了附近的冷水湖。我們在那平靜的湖旁有個小小的野餐。過後，由於回程也要差不多三個小時，差不多是晚餐時間了，他們就提議到波特蘭著名的日本餐廳享用我們的晚餐。果然名不虛傳，等了差不多四十分鐘才能進去用餐。
But honestly, this is the first time I am so satisfied for the freshness and taste of the sushi, especially the salmons and scallops, really tasty, no smell at all! No wonder everyday so many people queue up for dine in.
不過，老實說，這一餐的壽司，還是我第一次吃得非常滿意的一次。由於怕腥味，我通常都不會吃三文魚，但是這裡的三文魚壽司可是出奇地新鮮，入口即溶，真的讓我有點驚訝。至於干貝壽司還真的是第一次吃到，很贊，還有那鰻魚，真的一點腥味都沒有。這一間日本餐廳，值得推薦：Saburo’s Japanese Restaurant
*Back home, I was nearly a dead man, thoroughly exhausted. That’s the reason it took me so long to update this. 😛
回到家，我已經是精疲力盡了，整天的行程真的超累的，這也是為何我到現在才有空更新這裡。:P

Yea, the salmons I forgot to take picture. Everyone hungry already, waited for so long. Some look not that nice, but taste delicious. 😛
