Harry Potter, the first and the last…

14th of July, Thursday. Today is a special day for Americans, kind of unexpected for me, because I really under estimated the ‘power’ of Harry Potter.

15th of July, which is tomorrow, is the official screening for Harry Potter’s last episod, the Deathly Hallows part 2. Well, as a courtesy of our company’s GPTW, I am one of the 1,200 employees out of over 5000+ employees that being selected for attending the advance show tonight at 7.30pm. In fact, this is my first time watching Harry Potter, I never watch this movie before. If not because of my colleague requested me to register and participate in the draws, I wouldn’t go for it also. Simply not my type of movie. 😛 Anyway, it does surprise me, not the movie itself, but the ‘power’ of it attracting sooooo many people outside of the cinema waiting in advance like 2 hours+, just to get a good seat (cinemas here are mostly stadium seats, so first come first serve). Google for the movie itself pops up a very interesting result on the showtime: 12:01, 12:02, 12:03… Please note that today is Thursday, although official screening date is 15th (Friday), most people should be working also, but I am so surprised that still got so many people packing themselves into the cinema just for a movie 😛 Really nice job, Harry, you won. 😉

七月十四日，星期四。今天对美国人来说，算是蛮特别的日子，因为今天（就其实是明天半夜十二点正），哈利波特最后一集即将播映！我还真的小看了“哈利波特”的影响力，没想到原来美国人还真的蛮疯狂的。我很幸运地在公司的“好地方工作”活动中被抽中，可以去看这部电影的非正式首映礼，只公开给我们公司哦，还真的太幸运了，五千多人中选出千多人，还中我。哈哈，其实这次是我第一次看“哈利波特”的电影，之前的几部我都没有看。如果不是因为同事怕抽不中，叫我一起登记一起去抽，然后又刚巧给我抽到，我才去看而已，不然才没那么有兴趣呢。电影在七点三十分就开始，大概九点多结束吧。说真的我还没想到“哈利”的影响力那么大，竟然那么多人蜂拥去看戏，而且那些不是公司的，第一场的正式播放时间是半夜十二点零一分，半夜十二点零二分等等，谷歌一下就可以看到那些有趣的播放时间。尽管明天还要上班，他们还是可以看这么迟的电影，真的很佩服“哈利”，厉害！
