Happy Dumpling Festival!

五月三十日，星期一。今天是美國的陣亡將士紀念日，所以休假一天。突然間就接到同事的電話，說要拿東西給我。沒想到竟然就是這些：台灣南部很道地的水煮肉粽！都快忘了端午節要到了，而更沒想到在這裡也可以吃到粽子！真的太感動了，更何況他們做的肉粽還真的蠻特別，蠻好吃的哦。原來台灣的粽子都有醬料配，點些醬吃起來更有味道，真的太棒了！（好像太久沒吃到粽子的反應）可惜他們的粽子好像比較小，也只有兩個，吃不夠！哈哈。

30th of May, Monday. Today is off day for us in US because of the Memorial Day. My Taiwan colleague suddenly called me up say want to pass me something. I didn’t expect the ‘things’ are these: Taiwan Style Rice Dumpling! Specially made by him and his wife. Wow, didn’t noticed Dumpling Festival is just around the corner. And, didn’t even expect to have the ‘luxurious’ of eating dumpling over here! Some more it’s really yummy! Especially they made the ‘special sauce’ to be dipped with the dumpling, really tasty! Touched. But too bad the size is a bit small and only got 2, not enough!! >.<

Yeap, one of the most sought after food for me annually. Although its available all year long here, its the one that homemade during the festival time, always tops all the others..

Nope, not this year lol. You never had one his hometown dumpling before? It’s white in colour the rice, and filling is dark brown minced meat. It’s awesome.
