Movie’s Day

11th December 2010, Saturday. It’s my movie’s day! Best of all, the movie tickets are FREE!!XD It’s end of the year, under our company’s GPTW (Great Place To Work), every employee is entitled to claim 4 movie tickets FOC from cinemas around the town. This is the first time I felt my Intel badge is so useful. Go to the cinema nearby, swipe my badge, got my 4 tickets for free. Due to the fact that we can only swipe 1 time, that means each time we have to spend the 4 tickets no matter how. So, I coupled with my colleague, watched these 4 movies, two at a time, on Saturday and also Thursday.

十二月十一日，星期六。今天是我在這裡第一次看電影的日子！更棒的是：那些的電影戲票是免費的！嘻嘻，由於年尾了，公司基於“工作的好地方”概念，提供每一位員工都能夠到各地鄰近的戲院免費換取四張戲票。這也是我第一次覺得公司的員工卡是那麼的好用。到離家大概15分鐘車程的戲院去，用員工卡刷了一下，就有四張免費的戲票。由於我們只能刷一次，就是說無論怎樣，每一次刷，就必須要買完四張戲票。因此，就必須要和同事一起去看戲，各人分開兩次用，一次看兩部片。也就是今天和下個星期四。

1st Show: Tangled (3D), Saturday 2.30pm.


Well, great show! Makes me feel like I was going back to the child time. 😛 I really like the cartoon characters, especially Pascal, the chameleon, and also Maximus. They’re really cute! And, it’s been quite some time didn’t watch such a nice fairy tales cartoon. Really enjoy the colours, musical plots, funny and warm storyline. Give it an 8/10.

這是部很不錯的卡通電影！讓我覺得好像回到了純純的童年時代一樣。很喜歡戲裡那些生動的卡通，尤其是那只變色龍，還有那隻馬，他們的表情真的很“抵死”，可愛極了。其實，我還真的蠻喜歡這種很單純的卡通，色彩美麗，還有那些歌舞劇的曲子，真的很享受。有時簡簡單單的一部卡通，比那些的動作片還要扣人心弦。

2nd Show: Narnia 3, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Saturday 4.25pm.

This is the first time I watch Narnia, and I guessed it should be the last time as well. =.= In fact, we chose Narnia because there weren’t much choices left. Ok, storyline quite ‘unique’, but not much plots. And, the ending was kind of ‘cold’. Not sure is it because I didn’t watch the episod 1 and 2? o.O Anyway, nice try. 5/10. 😛

這是我第一次看這部片。之前的第一集和第二集都沒有看。我想如果還有第四集的話，我應該不會再重蹈覆轍了。哈哈，其實我們也是因為沒有其他選擇了才選這部片來看啦。嗯，故事算是蠻奇特吧，雖然沒什麼情節和高潮，而且結尾也略嫌敷衍。不懂是不是因為我沒看前面兩部所以不懂得欣賞？:P

3rd Show: Unstoppable, Thursday (16th Dec 2010), 9.25pm.

This is the unexpected one. Initially we want to watch the 3D of Tron. 1st screening here at midnight 12am. And, we thought that Thursday is the last day to claim the tickets. So end up we chose these 2 movies. Well, this is a nice one. Based on true event, although the plots not much, but I like how they layout the story. Not much actions but exciting; not much love story (in fact none), but moving; not much expectation, but surprising me. Give it a 9/10. 🙂

這是讓我意想不到的一部影片。我們本來的目標其實是待會午夜十二點的Tron，這部片算是拿來塞時間而已。沒想到這部片卻是今天最大的收穫，真的是一部蠻不錯的電影。是根據真實的事件所拍攝的。沒有很多的大爆炸和動作場面，故事情節卻是緊張刺激，緊扣人心；沒有多少男歡女愛，情感交流的畫面，句句對白卻是觸動人心，賺人熱淚；沒有任何的期待，卻是給了我最大的驚喜。這樣的影片，值得一看！（回過來看一看，好像寫得有點誇張了，各人“口味”不一樣，請多多包涵:P）

4th Show: Tron 3D, Friday (17th Dec 2010), 12.00am.

This is also an unexpected one. Well, unexpectedly disappointing. =.= Really didn’t know that 3D was like that. Over 80% of the show was not in 3D. Storyline was really :swt . Though the ticket is free, still feeling wasted. :haiz

這也是意想不到的一部片。是的，是意想不到的失望！我看的是三D立體的影片，但是整部影片重頭到尾卻只有大約區區的二十巴仙是立體影像而已，其他的根本沒差。再說，故事情節還真的蠻爛，雖然戲票不用錢買，但是還是覺得浪費了。:(

Lastly, regarding the cinema. Honestly, I still prefer our Penang GSC. Far lot better than this. The cinema: Cornelius 9 Cinema. Quite small in fact, and really ‘deserted’. Not much people there. So, you have no worry of tickets being sold out. The normal ticket is $8.75, 3D is $11.25. Oh, and it’s free seating, so called: “Stadium Seats”.

最後，至於電影院，說真的，我還是比較喜歡檳城的GSC，嘻嘻，相較之下這裡的戲院還真的蠻小，也好像比較殘舊，價格也比較貴。普通票就要美金八塊錢左右，三D的還要十一塊錢左右。還有，這裡的座位通常都是自由座，想要特別位置，要預訂是要多付錢的。
